# Privacy policy - Canonical: https://savysaver.com.au/privacy/ - Updated: 19 October 2026 SavySaver is a reading-only website. There are no accounts, no newsletter, no comments and no sign-up forms, and our pages don't load Google Analytics or advertising trackers. We only hold personal information about you if you email us. Contact: info@savysaver.com.au **Short version:** we don't sell personal information, we don't build profiles, and we don't send marketing email. ## What we collect, and why - **If you email us:** your email address, your name if you include it, and your message. Used to reply and keep a record. Not added to any mailing list or shared with partners. Stored by our email provider and deleted when no longer needed. - **Server logs kept by our web host (GoDaddy):** IP address, date and time, page requested, referring page, browser and device type. Used for security, fixing problems and rough visit counts. Not used to identify you. - **Not collected:** no accounts, logins, comments, newsletters or forms. The only thing it stores on your device is your cookie choice. ### Your cookie choice On your first visit a small banner asks whether you accept or decline cookies from partner links and tools. The site works the same either way. Your answer is saved in your browser's local storage as one entry, `ss-consent` (`1` = Accept, `0` = Decline), so the banner doesn't come back. It isn't a cookie and isn't sent to us or anyone else. Change it any time with "Cookie settings" in the footer of any page; clearing this site's data in your browser brings the banner back. Nothing on the site waits on this choice yet: current referral and affiliate links are ordinary links. Any future partner link, script or tool that uses cookies or similar tracking will only load or be shown after Accept. The banner can't switch off the host's performance script, which GoDaddy adds at the server; browser cookie settings or a content blocker can stop it. ### Referral and affiliate links Commercial links are labelled on the page, marked rel="sponsored" and listed at https://savysaver.com.au/disclosures/. Currently: the ShopBack referral link and code CZsGd1 (shopping guides) and the ExitLag affiliate link (gaming guide). Possibly in future: links through affiliate networks such as Commission Factory or a TopCashback referral link, only once live and disclosed. When you click one, the partner, its affiliate network or the merchant may set cookies or similar technology on their own websites to credit the referral. We don't ask partners for your name or contact details, and use any referral report only to check what we're owed. ### Your choices - Accept or decline partner cookies on the banner; change it any time with "Cookie settings" in the footer. - Block or delete cookies in your browser, or use a private window. The site still works. - Skip labelled links and go to the brand's site directly. - Content blockers may stop the hosting script and partner cookies (and can also stop your own Cashback tracking). ## How we use and share personal information Only for the reasons above. We don't sell or rent it or use it for advertising. Our web host and email provider handle it on our behalf. We may disclose it if the law requires, or to prevent harm or fraud. ## Information stored outside Australia Our host, email provider and Google may store or process data outside Australia (for example, the hosting setup for this site indicates a data centre in Singapore). ## Security HTTPS, very little personal information held, limited access to the SavySaver mailbox, and old messages deleted. Please don't email sensitive information. ## Access and correction Email info@savysaver.com.au to ask what we hold, or to correct or delete it. We'll respond within 30 days. For GoDaddy, Google or partner records, contact them directly. ## The Australian Privacy Principles The Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) set the rules for handling personal information (https://www.oaic.gov.au/privacy/australian-privacy-principles). Some small businesses are exempt from the Privacy Act (https://www.oaic.gov.au/privacy/privacy-guidance-for-organisations-and-government-agencies/organisations/small-business). Whatever the legal position, we aim to handle personal information in line with the APPs and this policy. ## Complaints 1. Email info@savysaver.com.au first. We'll reply within 30 days. 2. If we don't respond within 30 days or you're not happy with the answer, complain in writing to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC): https://www.oaic.gov.au/privacy/privacy-complaints/lodge-a-privacy-complaint-with-us. OAIC phone enquiries: 1300 363 992. ## Changes We'll update this page if what the site loads or collects changes (for example, a newsletter or analytics). This policy doesn't claim any privacy certification or seal. ## FAQ **Does SavySaver use Google Analytics or tracking pixels?** No. When we checked our pages on 19 October 2026 they loaded no Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Meta Pixel or other analytics or advertising tracker. Our web host, GoDaddy, adds its own performance-monitoring script to every page, which is explained in the cookies section of this policy. **Does SavySaver set cookies?** Our own code doesn't set any cookies. It saves your Accept or Decline answer from the cookie banner in your browser's local storage, and that answer isn't sent anywhere. The performance script our host adds may set cookies named _tccl_visitor and _tccl_visit. If you click a referral or affiliate link, the partner may set its own cookies on its own website. **Is what I type into the calculators or bill check sent anywhere?** No. The cashback calculator and the bill check run entirely in your browser. What you enter isn't sent to us, isn't stored by us, and is gone when you close the page. **How do I make a privacy complaint?** Email info@savysaver.com.au first and we'll reply within 30 days. If we don't respond within 30 days or you're not happy with our answer, you can lodge a complaint in writing with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).
